The Colonial Company is a privately owned diversified holding company headquartered in Montgomery, Alabama which manages operating companies involved in real estate development, insurance and invests in companies both private and public. The Colonial Company was created in 1956 with one company, Lowder Construction Company, building homes in Montgomery, Alabama.

The Colonial Company currently holds an investment in numerous projects and has built projects throughout the Sunbelt states. The projects are diversified among office, single family, residential, multi-family residential, shopping malls, shopping centers, insurance companies, and a golf course.
